Since February, there have been thousands of new Covid-19-related domains containing keywords like Coronavirus, COVID-19, COVID, pandemic, vaccine, virus.

In February, Spammers used the pandemic to spread malware via emails claiming to offer information on how to defend against the real-world virus. 

Early in March, hackers were using Fake World Health Organization Emails to spread malware.

Later on, hackers found a way to use coronavirus maps to inject malware into computers.

These Coronavirus-themed attacks continue to increase, with cybercriminals creating thousands of these websites daily. The sites are being used in a broad range of attacks, including phishing attacks, frauds, for tricking users into paying for fake COVID-19 cures, supplements, or vaccines, and malware-based attacks.
